Whats up guys and gals? I just got back from Louisiana with my 1988 Chevy Silverado project truck, and since I just about have to redo the whole truck its fair to say its built and not bought. I'll post some pics of it and maybe some of you might even know the truck. I've heard a lot about the club and the cool people here, so I thought I would join the forum, I'm sure I'll be needing advice soon

The paint job is in ruff shape and will be repainted once I get all the other stuff done to her

I've been to mobile a few times in my life, truthfully I don't like driving in the traffic. I have a mild case of road rage lol. My plans for the truck right now are to get the steering column replaced, tail lights, and blinkers working. I'm going to redo the valves and wire them up to 10 switches "only has 2 right now." I'm going to replace the bags starting with the front "which brings me to my first question, what type/size bags can I run a the truck with stock a-arms? " I'm going to fiberglass my door panels and clean them up. I'm going redo the inside of the truck because it needs it bad, but my main goal is to get it on the road b/c it will be my daily driver.

well it mainly depends on what size wheels your going to be running, any of the bags now a days shouldnt matter with the control arms etc. but i always mainly run slam bags, on 22's you should only need spindles possibly, im not 100% sure on the 88-98 model silvy's, you can maybe ask on of these guru's on here that own one and have tackled that already...we have a pretty knowledgable staff here that can help ya along the way of your build...and some on here that think they know alot like me haha!
