New to the Scene Empty
PostSubject: New to the Scene    New to the Scene EmptySun Nov 20, 2011 5:30 am

Howdy. My name is Richard, im new to the mini truck scene. I have always wanted to get into it and finally this year I jumped in both feet. I am hoping to become a member of Acro one day. Anyway a little bit about my ride. I picked up the truck 2 yrs ago off of CL and went right away and did a static 2-3 drop. It took about a year to pick up parts I wanted for the truck like roll pan, tonneau cover, 20" rims , etc... After slowly getting it to this...

Then I knew it was time to lay it on the ground.
This is my daily driver so I had to take a week off of work to do this and had no idea I was going to need to put in 16hr days to make it happen.

Next was tubing and notching the bed. Not so bad except shaving the wheel tubs to form to the outside of the bed for support.

Welcome to the forums. Looks like you have a really good start. A saturday afternoon and some wheel polish will make those billet's come alive. If your in Tampa you should ride out to the Tampa meeting this sunday and introduce yourself. They would be glad to meet ya. Check the "Florida" section for details.

Yeah I was going to send them out and get reconditioned but instead im looking for a set of 18" or the zq8's to switch them out. I do live in Tampa and where they meet is just down the road 10 min. so I am planning on meeting up with them tonight.
