body dropped blazer

I found out this week that my dog that I have had for 8 years has cancer and needs kemo which is very expensive so the blazer project has to go. I bought it this past summer and have only done some mechanical work to it.

what it has - body dropped to the pinch, some tweed interior, chrome 4 link, 2600 lb bags in the front, 3/8 line and valves, 5 gal. tank (I think), viar comp, drivers door is suicided, shaved handles, shaved body line, shaved gate and roll pan, shaved tails, gas tank has been moved to the back under the floor and the filler is behind the plate, 4.3L with an automatic, fiberglass console, electric fan, new batt, etc.

what it needs - I have a brake booster that needs installed and then the dash reinstalled, some work on the rollpan where it has been drug, the radiator support is hacked up but I have one that has already been cut and it just needs installed, needs some new gas tank straps made so that the filler neck will work properly (tank is mounted too high), etc.

It wouldn't take a lot to have this thing on the road by spring.

yeah it sucks but we are gonna do what we can to keep him around as long as possible

this is today. he was much bigger he went from 115lbs to about 97lbs now.

does the truck run and drive?

it does run and drive but it does need some work to be "road worthy". I wouldn't hop in it and drive it too far but I have drove it around town a time or two

the truck is home safe and sound. we named it Trip... lol what a nasty ride home. rained the entire way. 7 hours there and 8 1/2 back. now i remember why i haven't takin a road trip in a while..

sad to say that I had the dog at OSU on tuesday and the chemo treatment that they have him on isn't working so they changed things up to see if we can get a better response. they consider him in the 5% of dogs that don't respond to chemo. hopefully this works. I just gave him 14 pills and in 12 hours I have to give him 10 more (thankfully he loves cheese). to see him you would never even know that anything is wrong.
