New daily

I got a new daily. 67 bug, clean 2 owner car, original paint, very little rust. Rebuilt 1600cc dual port motor, 6 inch narrowed beam, spindels, lowered 1 notch in the rear.

Sweet bug! I love those things. My dad had one with a built motor and the pan sat 3/4 of an inch off the ground lol

I dont know how i could get this one much lower without bagging it. I got about 2 inches of less clearance under the front beam, and since the rear is a swing axle, its already cambered quite a bit at the height its at. Im wanting to bag it, but havent really see much about how people bag these.

I had a 59 for a bief period this year...airkewld.com and plenty of sites for baggin' bugs once you start looking. Mine was sooo old it ha an unsyncronized 1st gear. PITA in gridlock!

Ive seen airkeld kits, the rear seems alright, but im not impressed with air shocks in the front. Plus with the beam being narrowed 6 inches, the shock mounts had to be removed. You would be suprised when you ride in it that it has no shocks in the front. You would think it would be bouncy, but its not. it actually rides great!

Thats badass. I've had two 69s. Someday I'd like to get my hands on another one. There is a video somewhere on the net that shows step by step on how to bag the front by using one bag on the beam.

Very nice, i have a 63 double door panel.

Well, i killed the motor driving back from Southeast Showdown. Too hot, driving too fast, and leaking too much oil. I got a built 1776cc motor coming from Brothers VW coming from Cali. Should be back on the road again soon. Time to clean and paint engine compartment.

Up next is the dual Kadron carbs, then time to bag it

Well my motor should be in monday of tuesday, so today i painted all the engine sheet metal with house of kolors planet green (bc09) with lime gold kandy. Theres also a few piece that are just Orion silver (bc02). cant wait to get this thing back together!!!!!!

Getting closer!!!!!!!!! New motor came in yesterday, tomarrow all my new stainless hardware comes in, and thursday my remote mount oil filter comes in.

Friday is D-day, time to fire this puppy up!!!
