| so a guy in my local area came by my shop yesterday, bragging about how he bodied his 90s model ranger bed last few days and he was moving on to the cab this weekend. his truck hasnt moved an inch in the past couple years mind you. but thats cool, i was like thats cool whatever, and he was like "ya, it shouldnt be hard at all, plus that one of the cheapest things i can do right now"... and i asked him, how the hell is that? correct me if im wrong but on a box ranger to lay rocker when you stock floor it it has to be traditional bd a bit as well? plus i told him he had to raise his tranny tunnel, and possibly driveshaft tunnel.. and he argued with me till he was blue in the face... i know you have to raise tranny tunnel when stock flooring any truck, and that was the main point i was trying to drive home but he wouldnt listen! someone give some insight on this! | |

| If he is gonna traditional bd it hes going to have to do it 6-7 inches.. Full traditonal on that year truck will make it rediculous to drive... Either way he said he was stock flooring it.. All im saying is I tried to tell him some stuff he had no idea he had to do, and he argued with me like he was extensive or something. Def need to do some more research! | |

If he already has drop beams, aftermarket trans and radius arm crossmembers then he shouldnt need anymore than a 3.25"-3.5" traditional BD. Where did you get 6-7" from? 1st Gen blazers/jimmys need one of the biggest traditional BD's around and even those can be done with around 5"-5.5" BD. | |

| 6-7 was a bit of an exageration but even with the drop beams I dont think that it lays. box ranger still are one of the trucks needing a big bd. | |
