PostSubject: Isaac's Eff-Tree-Fiddy   Isaac's Eff-Tree-Fiddy EmptyMon Oct 29, 2012 9:03 am

Most of y'all have probably read through my post in the newbies section, so you already know what's going on. For those of you that don't, here's a quick run through:
The truck is a 04 F350 King Ranch

Current Mods:
8" Fabtech lift
37/13.50/18 Super Swamper M16 tires
6- dual reservoir Superlift shocks (2 at each corner in the front, and 2 or the rear)
2-10" JL subs
Aftermarket door speakers (they were in the truck when I got it. They're crap and will be changed in the near future).
Kenwood 5 channel amp
Touch screen Pioneer head unit
Modified exhaust (muffler replaced with a piece of pipe) and a 6" silver line tip
Aftermarket air filter assembly
Diablo sport tuner
River City Diesel EGR delete and oil cooler upgrade

Future plans:
Bags w/ 4 links front and rear
Custom sway bars
Hydraulic steering (maybe)
1 piece driveshaft
Add secondary alternator and battery for air ride and stereo goodies
1-12" sub w/ class D mono block amp in a console box (keeping the 2-10s as 'mid bass')
22x12 XD Diesel wheels (black) with 40" tires (haven't decided on exactly what tires to run yet)
ARP head stud upgrade
4" MBRP turbo back exhaust (powder coated black)
Banks complete intake system; including inter cooler
SCT X3 Tuner
90hp injectors
Paint will be close to stock color, but will have more depth, as well as some graphics that run down the rocker/bottoms of the doors
08 tailgate and taillights
05-07 paintable grill
05-07 Harley edition headlights
One-off front and rear bumpers with recessed lights and a spare mount that swings out to allow access to the tailgate.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff, but that's the basics. None of this is really 'set in stone', so if y'all have any recommendations on anything I've posted, please, speak up. I'm open to other ideas!

Thanks!

This is what my truck looked like a couple months ago. Initially, I had 37/12.50/16.5 Goodyear Military tires with 16.5x9.75 ProComp Rock Crawler wheels. I liked the look, but the ride quality was shit and it killed my fuel economy. Believe it or not, just by changing back to my stock wheels and getting the SSM16 tires, my fuel economy has gone up to almost 18mpg. With the military tires, I was down around 15mpg.

Here it is in the background at the Habitat Automotive show in September, along with the club I used to roll with.

What do you guys think about the black wheels? When the truck gets painted, it will be a single color, similar to the dark burgundy that's on it now. The grill, headlights, taillights and bumpers will also be black, so I'm strongly considering a gloss black wheel to help tie everything together.

I would leave that truck the way it is and use it as a tow pig, put all that money into a diffreent project (you can buy a truck almost done for a good price - look at this one)http://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/3379546067.html

I've considered that route...strongly...and I may end up doing that, but until I have that kind of money, this is the route I'm going to proceed with. I've been keeping my eyes open for other rides that are already done-ish, but until I buy a house, my better half has threatened to slaughter me if I buy another truck. Lol

On the other hand, there's not quite as much pride involved when you buy something that was someone else's dream and modify a few things to make it 'mine'.

I took this beast up to Milennium Audio in Dallas this weekend for some much needed tuning on my stereo. These guys got it all tuned in and it sounds awesome! My 10s are definitely lacking though. After the first of the year I'm taking my truck back up there to have the console box built for 1- Treo SSP12.22. As far as box design is concerned, that will be up to them. We're gonna keep cup holders, a small cubby hole, and the stock king ranch top for sure. They were talking about doing plexi inserts in the sides with the sub as a downfire with lights on the inside. My girlfriend has already ordered my amp for Christmas; it's a Hifonics Brutus 1200.1. This bitch should POUND! I'll be keeping my 2-10s as mid-bass since they run off a class a/b amp already.

This is what will be visible through the plexi sides.
