| Yea. you have to reduce it or it comes out thick as hell. Are you going to just sand down the foam texture then start primering then sanding

| Yeah was just going to sand and primer over the top of whats on the dash now and see how it works out, I think i will look around for a dash and give it a go on that one incase i stuff it up | |

| I did that on my foam inserts on my dash. I sanded all the texture I could on the vinyl texture. Then kept using primer to build it up then hit it with a sanding block. Its all smooth now. The primer just filled in the small gaps and cuts | |

| Make sure you clean the dash good with a waz and grease remover and then use an adhesion promotor also. | |

| Ive found two good ways of doing it, sand it then a few coats of high build primer, sand it smooth and paint. The other option that i prefer, sand it down then use layers of fiberglass resin, sand it smooth and paint This is how the dash looked with the resin method when i was done in my old hardbody, good luck | |

| I sanded it really good and rough and never used a promoter when using the resin. That dash was done 8 years ago and still in great shape, no cracks | |

Any prep clean from an auto paint supplier will do. I've been using a wax n grease remover made by GROW. Also break parts cleaner works good to clean plastic and vinyl interior before painting. | |
