90 isuzu pup project...

i bought the truck on saturday night and i decided that i would go ahead and take it apart and work toward a 2" SFBD and i would say i made some pretty good progress for only one day. Im still looking to have the cab off by WED. on that note are there any people that have ever BD an isuzu in the JAX area? i could really use the help

Just saw this. Traditional body drop? Friend of mine here in town could probably answer any of your questions.

im actually trying to do a 2" Stock Floor. and just add extra supports to the frame to hold up right. cause i want to do a 2" roof chop at the same time so doing a traditional will ruin any headroom. but any help anyone is willing to give would be awesome. i know a pretty good amount about mechanics. but ive never done a BD. so this is gonna be an interesting journey.

little update. i got the body off of the frame finally... a little behind schedule but now im going to do alot measuring and go from there.

well yesterday i got an electritian to come out and put in a 220 plug for my welder and i started cutting the mounts and the unused brackets off of the frame. i hope to be cutting into the frame next week sometime.

hell yeah thanks shawn... i made some more progress today i got the passenger side, i got everything cut off and im ready to weld in the temporary cross members for the body drop... and get the motor/trans off too of course. i still have a few kinks to work out as far as the "how to's" but i think ive got the gest of things... no turning back now!

man its alot harder than it looks. im just gettin kinda lucky so far. i havent had any major issues yet. but i am waiting to start into the cutting until i get the engine and trans pulled out. and im going to tack in the temp supports prolly starting next week.

Thats why im just probley gonna lay just frame and make it clean.

yeah. i just bought the truck and i only drove it around the block. cause i knew if i drove it i and went to shows with it i would never stop. so i put it in the garage... and started going to town. the plans i have for this thing are making me nervous. who knows when ill get to drive it.

Dont feel bad i traded my ranger for the isuzu i only drove it from the old house to the new one now it just sits lol.
