| anyone have experience with this? its a 1999 f150 , do you really have to disconnect the battery so the air bag wont blow? | |

| Another thing, I bought this steering column, and it has a lock on the adapter... Can't figure out how to take it off the ididit column to put it on my stock column...I can't find anything on the adaptor, no markings or anything to google info on taking it off!!! hELP! this big Allen bolt is the one I'm trying to take off, I believe if it comes off I can take the adaptor off right!?!? | |

| Disconnect the battery and wait at least a half hour. The capacitor somtimes hold a charge long enough to deploy them if you don't wait a while. | |

| you may be able to use an oil filtes wrench the belt type to hold the outer part so you can take the allen bolt off | |
