| ok im mdebating on how i want to do my next stockfloor bodydrop... im gogi nto do this one this time and want to know what your guys is best opion i. 95 ram ext cab longbed. IM leaning towards a 2x4 frame rail but my dilema is one no frame tabe, and 2 im thinking of running the rails at the top of my existing frame and cut the bottoms of the left over off. reason im thinking this is i wont have to totally redo bodymounts and make a huge tunnel for trans seem like a ood idea or am i playing with myself in leftfield? oh yea like said its a 95 extcab longbed 5.9 engine with 176xxx miles or should i jsut have a complete frame built buy a shop? | |

| I was going to point you towards that thread as well. It does look easier to keep the stock mounts, and then just z the front the extra needed. The cons for doing this way aren't as bad because the bed comes off and you can see what you're working with and have more room. If things don't fit, you sheetmetal the bed, thats all. And don't waste the money on a frame from a shop, they are easy enough to do. | |

| be careful when doing it that way becuz on some trucks the transmission pan will hang past the frame rails once the bottom has been cut off.....
and beside when you Z it you will still have to do a tranny tunnel anyways.....
just my .02 cents | |

| That part is still a lot easier than taking the body off and storing it. | |
