sals sonoma tear down- fla boy

been awhile since i put pics... been busy hittin this show season with a vengance, and doing little projects in between. here are some more pics for your enjoyment!!










been working on this armrest last day or so, i made it completely out of exhaust tubing. while i was supposed to be doing work hehe. its going to be powdercoated yellow, and the cardboard peice will be made of wood, foamed and covered in carbon fiber vinyl. it mounts directly to my speaker box .

oh yeah and i changed my taillights back to just smoked. i just didnt like them, they made my stripe look crooked to me.. i dunno, i think im just anal or something. lmk what you guys think?!

and here is something i did today too.





denali inside chrome door handles, and billet window cranks! gotta love billet!

Where u find the handles and do they make em for the 94-97 style? All I found was the backing plates.
Here's what I got

Cody I think it's aluminum under there that people grind off the black and polish that style i think

Keiths right, mine are take offs from a denali. But yours are aluminum. Start sanding by hand starting with 220 and move up in grit getting finer till you get to 2000 then hit with a high speed buffer and polish. Theyll look brand new.

Lol, ya that shit sucks. I try and polish everything that I can find thats aluminum. The reason I say by hand is because you can groove it bad with a grinder or sander

for those who don't know my truck was a Sonoma. I really hated that frontend due to the orange in the headlight, and saggy looking bumper. I have not found any aftermarket headlights for the Sonoma and my bumper cover I adjusted till I couldn't adjust anymore. well, the other day I pretty much ripped the cover off and just decided it was time to do what I wanted with it. I went with all paintable front grille, bumper, valance which I smoothed. then got a simple but clean billet insert, and bowtie. and some clear, black housing headlights with markers. what do you guys think? I know ppl like the Sonoma frontend but that just wasn't my style
