F150 sighting!!!!

got it. i messaged ya back. i got the rollpant fixed the other night. sheetmetal is about 95% done. just got a few small corner pieces to make. got the tailight housing cut out. gonna start glassing the tailgate skin in and filling the taillight housings up. ill take a few pics og the bed tonight and post them up tomorrow. talked to yankee the other day. should have the truck at the paint shop at the end of next week.

yeah lets see um

well i got a bit more done over the last week. got the fiberglass skin made and hung on the bed. cut out the tail light housings and started to glass them in. fixed the bottom corner where the roll pan ripped off. all the metal work is done and began smoothing the welds out last night. ordered all the suspension accessories today. plan on having the tail lights and skin completely done tonight. should have the rest smoothed out and the rails shaved by the weekend. gonna plumb and wire the rest of the truck up over the weekend and load it up on the trailer sunday night. goes into the paint shop monday. here's a few pics of the progress on the bed.

how u plannin on smoothing out the rails u going to glass them or weld. and did u weld ur light skins in or just glass them in

i kept the stock part where the rails bolted to the inner bed tub. i built the frame off that. the outer part of the bed is fiberglass so if you wanna smooth anything on it, it has to be done in fiberglass. otherwise it will crack from changes in temperature. as for the rails, im gonna glass them and overlay the glass on to the metal. it'll work just fine. i've had a lot of experience with fiberglass. should come out good.

o hell i wasnt thinkin ur is a step bed and is fiberglass. my bad

definately will. i got the rails done last night, the rollpan is fixed and the lights are glassed up. so far so good. dropping it off to yankee on monday.

no sorry he didnt have to much started on it. just had it taken apart and block sanded some of it. im goin back next monday. he said he should have most of the bed done by then. im dying to see it to.
