| I agree with you, and I regret not going to SESD this year, which wasn't due to the driving so much as time commitments. I had friends going to camp n drag that same weekend which as you know is much closer, but didn't because I needed to work on the garage.
I look at it as advertising. You want big name clubs aka nice vehicles to come to your show? You need to go to their show. Reciprocity.

| well all i have vacation for is two weekends, and i work every other weekend so what ever show falls on the weekends im off im all over it like ragu on spaghetti, but i can only pick two shows to take off for on the weekends i do have to work... if i was off everyweekend i would be at every show for sure within a 12 hour reach of me, but just like the past weekend at RA i had to work and no vacation left, this year has been the hardest for me as far as the economy & changing job schedule but... as far as next year goes i plan on tearing the show scene up....ON THE ROCKERS!!! | |

| Hey guys i am so for traveling to go to show to rep with almost all of Acro. But the shortest drive is to Tex Mex and its 22 hours. I would have to stop on the way and i would have to convince the wife to spend alot of money to make it there. Lets just say that that will probably be the only show i would be able to attend outside of our local shows which never have more that fifty cars except when acro throws a vegas show and has 105 cars show up..LOL
Like i said i am down but its gonna cost me 300 in just gas to get to Tex Mex.

| as far as know I went to 17 shows last year and I did one over 3 weeks on the road it cost me over 1200$ of fuel well that vacation cost me a total of 3200$ on my credit card when I paid it online at sesd. I did alot of 18 to 24 hours drive to get to shows . But this year I got a 14$ an hour paycut so I guess money is tight for now . I am still working on the truck so far also and trying to have my health back on track so I can be ready for next year. | |

| I agree that SESD is our show but I think what mike was looking for was a more central show that almost everyone could possibly come out to with a vehicle. I would be willing to drive to RA but not much farther than that since I drive my truck and there is now way that I could have a truck and trailer by that time next year and that would also be the farthest that I have drove my truck. anything farther than RA seems like a bad idea for me. just my two cents. | |

| Good topic, I got to hit up quite a few shows this year, but with no ride. But 2010 will be different, with the changes that have been made with acro and more unity it has def. lit a fire under my azz. So I will have not one but 2 trucks for 2010 ready. Look forward to seeing alot of you this coming 2010 show season. Dont know how many shows I can hit the rest of this year due to some back injuries that have just happened. SUCKS !!!!!!!! but I am down for another good meet up. | |

| Is there anyone who is absolutely opposed to RA for any reason?
I'll watch ssm for info about next years show, I kind of doubt that they already have the host hotel lined up. It will most likely be the same time frame next year as the years past, beginning of september.

| im pretty sure theyll have the dates and hotels lined up here in the next month or two probably mike, i guess we can consider the debut show for the club since were doing all this new cleaning up etc. we can show the world with rides of how the club is and is going to be ya know...with a sea of sick ass rides from all over the u.s.
i have no objections with the RA all star show
