Gonna try next year to take a trip across the country, I know i want to see the Grand Canyon, Mt Rushmore.......any other ideas?

what type of things are you wanting to see? national parks/monument type things, historical or just places of interest in general? And when you say cross country do you mean coast to coast and anywhere in between?

myrtle beach is a good place and you can crash at my place if you want

Louisville KY has Churchill Downs and the worlds largest bat at the Slugger Museum...
Nashville is awesome, downtown on music row on a weekend is something to see, theres also the Country Music Hall of Fame, Grand Ol' Opry, Mansion tours and all that. Theres also a whole bunch of Civil War battle sites in Tennessee.
Theres the Natural Bridge in Virginia.
The speedway in Indianapolis Indiana
Theres the George Roger Clarks Park In Vincennes IN that has a lot of depression era public works, Also one of the oldest colleges in Indiana is there,
You have the Sears Tower in Chicago and of course the Great Lakes.
I am sure I will think of some more...

I'm not much into Country Music either, but the Hall of fame was pretty cool...and the trolley tour of Nashville is a lot of fun.

stop in st. louis and see the arch and take the ride to the top its the shit. my dad worked on it way back when they built it. its 630 feet to the top!

I love the old country music..Hank Williams, Johny Cash, Conway Twitty...I think the only "newer" singer I like is Vince Gill...I'm like you, and dont care for the newer country..pretty much anything from the late 80's on I dont care for..
Old school rap and southern rock when I am out and The Beatles when I am at home or working on the truck....

the brewery in stl is cool too I just went there this summer. meramec caverns in stanton mo is really cool too. I used to live 5 minutes from it when I was a kid
