Progress update on the Ranger

Well, I finally came across a little money and was able to buy enough stuff to make it a rolling chassis. WIlwood brakes, polished tie rods and chrome rack, bushings and stuff to make the motor/tranny mounts, and hopefully a V8 from a '00 explorer by the end of next week. I should have the front bag mounts set up by the end of the weekend and can "commit weld" the front end together. I have just been waiting in case shit didn't line up just right. I post a little of the previous pics to catch up those who haven't seen it.

have you decided to just connect the front clip and back section with some 2x3 while your at it? or do you not plan on bd'ing still?

either way it was and is going to be one hell of a sexy truck. glad you are still working on it.

I need to get the motor in there as low as i can and have a look with it layed out. If i can find room for everything, then the 2x3 will happen. I just needed to get to that point before i commit. I've been trying to work on it, but my finances have been working against me. Luckily I had my 99 ranger just sell last week and get me some more money to go forward with it.

Guess its time to do a little update. Motor is mocked up and the motor mounts are in the process of being built. (the angled bars bolted to the front of the head just hold the motor still in the mean time). Since there is so much room left in that engine bay, I'm going to go ahead and body drop it.
