full sheet metal bed?

So i was thinking of doing a full sheet metal bed on my truck over the winter. Has anyone tackled this before and if so any helpful tips? I work for my father in his body shop so i have the resources and tools for the job for the most part

Cleco pins for sure. And take your time. If your wanting rolled edges and things such as that, a brake, slip roller, and bead roller are nice to have. Nice rounded edges and corners can also be formed with a cut off wheel, hammer, and dolly. Have you though about what you want it to look like?

I deff want all rolled edges and corners no straight sharp lines. Flush pop up chopper style gas filler.I also was thinking of cutting my wheel tubs out and getting the tear drop tubs and notch cover from thorebeck brothers. Then when all smoothed and worked out paint to match the truck and maybe ill airbrush some skulls just for some flash. Or maybe just leave it clean with nothing in it

Here's a bed on a friends truck I painted. They color matched the bedliner but could have easily been painted to match. Might give ya some ideas. This was done with trailer tubs, a round notch cover from THOR. BROS and basic tools. Corners were rolled with a slip roll that most sheet metal shops can do for ya for cheap

i didnt do the work but this was my bed before paint im haveing the truck redone and havin a color match done

I like the way the battery is mounted like that. Is there a cover or just left open like that?
