PostSubject: stock floor s-10   stock floor s-10 EmptyThu Jun 10, 2010 12:15 am

so im gona stock floor my new 1992 s-10 and before i do i was wanting to find out what size square tube to buy . i was all ways under the impression that with an s10 u use 2x3 under the cab. but i just saw a build done buy a shop and it looked like they used 4x4 under the cab. this will be my first stock floor body drop. have done several conventional. i did it to my 2001 ranger conventional and once i was done realized me and my over sized friend ( ryan from the vegas chapter ) did not fit to well so this is why im doing a stock floor

any advice from would only make this project go faster for me

here is a before pic

2x3 is fine. 4x4 on any truck is overkill.

3x3 fits better to the S10 front clip. Plus box tube is cheaper than rec. tube. Measure twice cut once. I remember how funny lookin your ranger was, lol. You are still gonna have to cut the floor pans to clear the new framerails. You will much enjoy a SFBD.

Back in the A-R. I work for the state, and have my own shop, lol. You been makin it alright man? Seen you were working with porches... Im envious. Lol. The ranger was def. gangsta! Ive been married since February, and we've got three kiddos! The floorpans were your feet go. You can either raise em up, our notch you new chassis out to clear, and then plate it up real good. Good to have ya back on the forum!
