| joey most of the time you dont have to do much/any floor cutting at all on a stock floor drop, most of the time it may involve transmission tunnel being raised some or as some people do with body styles like mine when you channel it all you have to do is notch a spot under your seat where one part of the frame will touch the cab & the gas tank behind the driver seat like an inch or so...your mainly shortening the height of the frame some & dropping the body mounts down to where your body is where it needs to be & the cab isnt touching the frame sorta in a nut shell lol | |

| Heck yea man that's what I'm goin for. I want this to just be a clean simple truck w/ a lot of small details... I really wanna go to wyotech so I can have certificates in all this. But I know whenever you do a stock floor your basically just replacing the frame under the cab and since imma do a back half. Good luck w/ your trucks its always been one of my favorites | |

lol, I laugh at all the "at the time" learnig questions when I was just static out. I'd say start with baggng the front and back, roll it for a while, then go onto a body drop. My truck was cully bagged probably less than 6 months before I boddied it and I should have waited a little longe and enjoyd the bags a little more. Body drops are no joke, and there is no going back...and they always take longerthan you think they will! So many little things pop up and need to be taken care of. Like I said, talk to clint or rigo and I'm sure your budget will thank you! | |

| Gotta question about a welder... a guy told me I should be fine w/ welding my notch and links w/ a licoln 140 , but I don't think that's a good enough. I was thinkin of gettin the licoln 180 and if needed weld my notch in w/ the 220 at work. So the question I have is will the 180 be the best all around welder for sheet metal and suspension?? | |
