| thats going to be A LOT of work to get that to lay! a 4x4 ranger has a huge engine cross memeber and it takes like 3 1/2" Z to get it to lay flat... The engine is going to be way out of the hood and the tranny has to be raised into the cab just as much for the most part....not saying it cant be done, but for the work you would be better off starting over with a 2 wheel drive.

| so you dont plan on doing any shaving on the body? How much work on the frame are you going to do? Theres a lot involved in getting a Ranger, esp a 4x4, to lay out...I dont even know for sure if it would be possible to lay it out flat and keep the 4x4 functional. not being a hater bro, just curious about how far you are willing to take your truck.

| I just got a s-10 for FREE!!!! Didn't know anything about it but that it was free, so i had the guy bring it by... it was going to be my next build untill i saw the four wheel drive lever in the floor and I am littlerally scrapping the frame and using the body as parts.. Here's my point.. The 4x frames are so much different from the firewall foreward, I agree, I don't think its worth messing with. If you're gonna attack this thing i wanna see pics cause it'll be sick if you can still mob in 4 wheel drive. Good luck. Keep us posted. | |

| I know what I'm gettin in to this is my second truck I'm building. My old one was a fully bagged fully shaved 2000 ranger. But I want to go about this one diff and its also my daily drive as well. Not sayin I won't one day shave anouther truck just not till I got another daily and this one stays in the garage. Ill put pics of the old one up later. | |
